Jonathan also received his sixth Daytime Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Lucky Spencer on "General Hospital," a role that has earned him three previous Emmys. Jonathan was recently seen in ABC's "Trapped in a Purple Haze." "Trapped in a Purple Haze" also starred JoBeth Williams, Colm Fiore and Carly Pope (WB's "Popular"). Jonathan also completed principal photography on first time director Meg Thayer's "True Rights," in which he stars with his brother Richard. "True Rights" is a black comedy focusing on a couple of producers who will do anything to get a story, including seeking out a crazy teenage militia leader brilliantly portrayed by Jonathan. Jonathan Jackson is best known for his portrayal of Lucky Spencer on "General Hospital." His performance has been acknowledged with six Daytime Emmy nominations (1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000), three Daytime Emmy Awards (1995, 1998 and 1999), a Soap Opera Digest Award (1995) and two Young Star Awards (1995 and 1998). At six weeks of age, Jonathan moved to his dad Ricky Lee's home near Vancouver, Washington, with his mom Jeanine, older sister Candice and older brother Richard. Ricky Lee, a country music singer, helped inspire Jonathan to play guitar and sing. A few years ago, father and son performed together at a concert. After that, Jonathan was hooked on performing. In 1991, Jonathan decided to try his hand at acting and enrolled in classes at ABC Kids in Portland, Oregon. He quickly found that acting was his passion and decided to come to Hollywood in 1993. He learned fast, and soon filmed several national commercials. It was not long before he landed a choice contract role as Lucky on "General Hospital." Balance is the key in Jonathan's life. His faith, friends and family are the constants that help him keep his life in healthy perspective. His hard work, discipline and dedication combine to further his career in the highly competitive world of acting. When he is not working, Jonathan loves basketball, baseball, playing guitar, writing and recording music, billiards and collecting movie memorabilia. Jonathan even finds time in his busy schedule to contribute his energy and winning smile to support charitable causes like the Ronald McDonald House in Portland, Oregon, and The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
