Kristy's Point of View ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I stepped off the plane, and yawned uncomfortably. True, it was only 8:30, but I was drained from the excitement of the day. After spending an hour signing papers, discussing accomidations, and generally being bored out of my mind, I went for lunch with the guys, and then spent the day with them, to get to know them. They had all been fantastically nice, and I decided spending six monthes on a tour bus with them wouldn't be that bad. Mike told me that cause I'm a one woman show, I could share the bus with the guys. Flashback to earlier "I hope you don't mind Kristy, but we booked you sharing the bus with the guys. To save expenses" Mike explained. I smiled at him. "It's no problem" I told him. "Plus, I trust you--" Brian cut Mike off. "Aww, how sweet, eh guys?" Brian cooed. "Donna's assistant trusts us" They all flashed Mike big smiles. Mike laughed. "No, I don't trust you, I trust Kristy" he cried with a smile. End Flashback Grudgingly I dragged myself through the Toronto airport towards baggage claim, where I was supposed to meet my parents, etc. I spotted my dad's bald head over the crowd, and made a beeline for him. They had already picked up my luggage, and were waiting for me. I settled into his open arms, and hugged him tightly. "I'm so proud of you Kris" he murmered. I yawned, and he laughed. "Try to contain your excitement" my mom called pleasently, and I mustered a smile. "I'm really happy, just exhausted" I informed her, slipping my arm around her waist. "I leave in three monthes mommy, I start rehersing in one month, alternate days" I began explaining the whole legal deal, flashing papers, as we made our way out to the car. My dad swung the door of the mercades coupe open, and I thought about how blessed I had been. My dad was the executive assistant of a merchandise shipping company, and we had never been pressed for money. We had a penthouse apartment in the Villa, and prestigious upperclass apartment building. I had never flaunted what I had, but always felt very lucky to have what I had. As we drove home, I was nodded off to sleep by the motion of the car. |
