Kristy giggled as Howie and Brian shoved her into the dressing room. In desperation, she banged on the door. "Let me out guys!" Kristy whined in protest. "Please" Brian and Howie leaned all their weight against the door, and basically locked Kristy in the little stall. "Not until you put on those pants!" Brian shouted back. Kristy surveyed the neon green pants with dismay. Neon green they were, with black fur around the bottom of the flares. A black blob came flying over the door of the change room, and Kristy caught it in surprise. "What's this?!" "A fur tube top" Howie shouted, and Kristy could almost imagine his smirk. She held the thing up in front of her, and burst out laughing. "Nuh Uh" she called. "No way am I wearing this hideous thing" "Do you ever wanna get back to the hotel?" A voice floated over the door. "Ugh, you jackass!" she growled at them. Kristy locked the door, not wanting the guys to walk in, and grudgingly put on the outfit. "There! It's on!" "Lemme see" Howie called in a childish voice. "Huh? That was not part of the deal!" Kristy yelled back. "Hmm" he called. "Brian, do we make the rules?" "Howie, I think we do" Brian said in a dreamy voice. Embarrassed, Kristy unlocked the door, and walked out. Brian and Howie turned to look at her, and wolf whistled teasingly. "Ow! Sexy baby!" Brian shouted, and clapped his hands. "If Nick heard you, you'd drop dead" Kristy laughed inspite of herself. "So why don't you guys have to wear something like this?" "Cause.......we don't wanna" they teased. "If you do, I'll buy this.....thing, and wear it the next time we go clubbing, which may well be tonight" she coaxed. The guys pretended to think hard. "Well...." Howie said, while slowly stroking his chin. "Well...." Brian scratched his head as if in deep though. "Um, how about....no!" The two guys burst out laughing like it was the funniest thing they'd heard in days. "You are so lame-o!" Kristy whined, and stamped her foot. "Come on, live a little!" "The only living I'm gonna do will be watching Liv Tyler in the old Areosmith videos" Brian declared, and Kristy rolled her eyes. Brian continued, "I'm not feeling like leather pants, and g-strings right now. Gimme jeans any day." "You're turning into an old man" Kristy stuck her tongue out at Brian. "You guys are such weiners!" Howie laughed. "Yeah, that's mature Kris." In response Kristy turned so her back was facing the guys, and patted her ass. "Bite me" she called over her shoulder. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ It was about 8:30 when they returned to the hotel. On the way back from the mall Howie suggested that they stop at a restaurant and grab some grub, so they did. "I can't believe what you did to that poor woman" Kristy muffled a laugh at the memory. They'd been walking down the street when a group of girls started to chase Howie and Brian. The guys ran into a store, and being the boneheads that they are, they ran straight into an unlocked changeroom--which had a half naked woman in it. Brian smiled wickedly. "I have never seen so much cellulite in my whole life~ugh!!" "Mmph! Brian Thomas Littrell, that was the meanest thing I've ever heard you say!" Kristy smacked his arm playfully. She stopped in front of the door to her room, and fumbled around for the key. "I'll see you guys in a while, okay?" "No, you won't" Brian said to himself, mentally smiling. Kristy pushed open the door, and dropped her bags on the floor. Flipping on lights as she went, Kristy walked past the washroom and turned to sit on one of the beds. Her eye's widened when she spotted a white rose and an envelope on the bed. A smile played across her face, and Kristy grabbed the envelope. She opened it carefully, and extracted a piece of paper and a room key. "Room 435, 9:45" the paper read. Smelling the rose, Kristy leaned back on the pillows and thought of what awaited her. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Whistling softly, Kristy trotted down the hall. She skipped up the stairs, smiling softly. Upon arrival at room 435, she checked her watch. "Right on time" Kristy noted to herself. Looking up, she noticed a white rose slipped into the lock of the door. (stem through the key hole..get it now?) Boldly, she knocked on the door. When no answer came, Kristy slipped the into the lock, and turned. "Hello...?" she called quietly. Flipping on the lights, she realized the room was emtpy. But there was yet another white rose, sitting on the balcony. Petals were scattered over the balcony, fluttering slightly in the gentle breeze. "Oh..." was all she could manage. Kristy tip-toed across the carpet, out onto the balcony, and scooped up the pretty flower. She rested on the railing, and peered out at the city below them. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Nick quietly opened the door, and he spotted Kristy leaning on the railing, and grinned. Things were going perfectly. He sneaked over to her, and contemplated what to do next. Nick slipped his arms around Kristy's waist, and rested his head on her shoulders. Tilting her head back, she smiled. "Hey you" Kristy murmured and kissed his cheek lightly. "Hey you too" he whispered into her ear. "Who's room is this?" she asked him curiously. "I booked us this room for the night" Nick told her. Kristy turned around, and peered up at him. "Listen, Nick, I like you alot and all, but...I don't wanna, well, you know" she paused. "I wasn't planning on it........" he trailed off, and grinned mischeviously. "Why, can I?" Kristy laughed softly. "Not any more" "Ooo, that's unfair" Nick clutched his heart dramatically. "How're you gonna play a guy?" "The way I feel like playin' a guy" she giggled, and hugged him loosely. "So what are we doing tonight" "Eh, whatever we feel like doing...that's why I got us a room. Privacy" he told her. Grabbing her hand, he pulled her into the room, and jumped onto the bed. "Come sit with me." She tentatively crawled on the bed. Leaning against his chest, Kristy reached for the remote. "TV is a good way to start" she pointed out. Nick pushed the remote out of her grasp. "I've got a better way to start. Close your eyes, and wait here" he whispered. Kristy shut her eyes, and she could feel Nick get off the bed, and his footsteps padded away. A few moments of silence ensued, then he got back on the bed. There were some clicking sounds, and a bit of rattling. "Fuck" Nick swore softly, and Kristy stifled a giggle. There was a bit more rustling, and then silence. Kristy could feel Nick moving, then something cold rested on her skin. "Okay, open 'em" he whispered. Her eye's flew open, and she glanced down at her neck. "Ohmigod, Nick" she gasped in amazement, and slipped the silver necklace off. She stared at the necklace in fascination. It was a silver chain, with hollow silver heart (ya know, just the outline of a heart). In the center, was a small NK, with a diamond where the N and the K touched. "I can't believe you did this" Kristy breathed out. Nick grinned expectantly. "Do ya like it?" "Like isn't the word" she murmured. "It's amazing. Where did you find this, I've never seen anything like it." "Uh" he glanced at the ceiling. "IgotitcustommadeforyouinParis" he muttered, hoping Kristy wouldn't pick up the majority of his words. "You what? Nick this must of cost you a fortune! I can't take this!" she tried to put the necklace back in his hands, but Nick promptly sat on them. (his hands) He'd been expecting this reaction. "You have to take it" he told her emphatically. "I bought you this cause I wanted to. You're so different than, well, anyone I've ever liked. Before, I would never know if they liked me for me, or me for Nick Backstreet." "How do you know with me though...we might not be forever" she pointed out. "That's where your wrong" Nick smiled confidently. "No matter what happens, we will always exist in memory...like, we'll always have the past type thing. Plus, just being around you, you send off these vibes, and it's so different being with you." He slipped the necklace out of her hands, and fixed it around Kristy's neck. Her eye's peered back at him innocently. "I've gotta go to the loo" he whispered, "Be right back" "Uh huh" she muttered, shocked at the necklace sitting on her collarbone. Nick slipped off the bed. As soon as the door locked, Kristy leapt off the bed, and ran softly over to Nick's jacket. "Wallet...if I was Nick, where would I keep my wallet?" she whispered as she searched the jacket pockets. Finally her hands rested on his wallet, and she whisked it out of the inside pocket. Snapping it open gingerly, Kristy frantically searched the contents of the wallet, praying that Nick kept the reciept for the necklace. "After all" Kristy reasoned with herself. "If he's making me keep it, the least I can do is pay him back for half...this must of cost a pile of cash." Pulling out a small stack of papers, she shuffled through quickly, and one caught her eye. "Francoise Jewelers" it read in the upper corner. She scanned the reciept hurridly. "Holy shit" Kristy gasped when her eye's rested on the final price. "He spent $9-fucking-hundred?! Good God!" In the background, she heard the toilet flush, and shoved the wallet back into his jacket, and scampered back onto the bed. Nick returned, and smiled. "That look's really pretty on you" he commented sweetly. "It should, for $900" Kristy said to herself silently, but outloud she said "Thanks sweetie" Nick slipped back onto the bed, and positioned himself so his face was inches away from his girlfriends. "You're really beautiful, did ya know that?" "And you're really sexy, did ya know that?" she murmured back, and kissed the end of Nick's nose. He leaned down, and smooched her lips lovingly. "You are my girl" Nick thought, "You are my girl"
