Paul G's SouthBeach Home

Relax, take a deep breath and enjoy the sights and sounds....

Hello, and Welcome to my NEW Home on the beautiful SouthBeach Coast!!

Here's a little bit about me and the dog: The above picture you see is of myself and "Newfy" our Newfoundland dog. This picture was taken when Newfy was younger, right now he is a lot bigger. Newfy is a great dog - quiet, obediant and smart. Ever since Newfy was very young, he has had a very loud, low bark and even when he was a puppy he could scare away dogs twice his size...I won't even mention right now!! Newfy weighs about 120 lbs which is a lot, and when Newfy gets excited (like when a squirrel or cat runs by) he can be hard to control...that I'd say is his greatest drawback. He's a little lazy at times too - Like when he has to go for a walk but he's too lazy to get up, however that's understandable since he's large, heavy and most of the time very hot because of the thick coat of fur.

OK, I think that's enough about Newfy for now. Here's the best part of this site. My favorite machine in the world!

Here is my KICK A$$ 1987 Toyota Corolla GT:

As you can very well see, this is one sweet car! Here's the thing about Corollas for those of you that don't know: They are excellent small family sedans with a smooth ride and great quality. In my opinion, Toyota is always a few years ahead of the competition. Their quality is always superior, and they are constantly improving their already good products with small improvements that make them even better. These cars also have something that you can't see at the showroom - durability and reliability. Corollas, if taken care of, could last for 15 years without a sweat. Mine is already pulling 17 years and still kicking!

My parents actually bought a 2004 Corolla not too long ago. Heck, who can ask for a better car when you're looking to buy a new car and the old one that's 17 years old is still running strong. The new one is really nice. You can tell it's very refined and well built. I'll try to put up some pics later of the young Corolla.

Other than that, my Corolla (the old one) is the beefed up GT version which means that it has the 5 speed manual transmission, upgraded cloth seats, CD player with Pioneer speakers, chrome exhaust, rear spoiler and sport wheels.

One last thing I want to say: MY 1987 COROLLA GT RULES!!!

Here are a few other things I enjoy doing: -BIKING- (My current bike is a Magna Mountain Tamer from Target - good value, decent features, no gimmicks) -SKIING- (I've skiied the slopes in the following awesome places: Ontario, Quebec, Vermont, Wisconsin, Utah, Colorado, Alberta and Wyoming) -COMPUTING- (Yes, the technology is rather pathetic, but somehow it has my name on it) -PLASTIC MODELS- (My preferred brands are Tamiya for quality and Monogram for value).

I hope you're enjoying your stay here on my corner of the SouthBeach Coast...Thanks for visiting and when you leave make sure to keep the beach clean!!
