History
Rimpak Livonija was founded in 1991.
It is among the oldest private universities in Latvia.
All programs provided are of high teaching load and quality.

Here are some milestones
First enrolling was announced in 1992.
In 1992 top manager of institute was selected by British - Latvian commission as one of the best new generation managers in Latvia.
In 1992 BIRL received its first license from state authorities to provide university level education services.
In 1993 BIRL won the first prize in Government competition of Special Economic Zone draft for Latvia.
In 1995 BIRL representatives joined the European Association of International Education (EAIE)
In 1996 Rimpak Livonija was first university in Latvia's history applying for the state accreditation according to 1995 law.
In 1997 BIRL was one of the founder of Latvian Association of Higher Education.
In 1997 International Expert Commission evaluated BIRL and gave positive conclusion.
In 1997 Masters of International Law started.
In 1997 Rimpak Livonija became the first university in Latvia's history with three accredited law curricula.
In 1998 new Bachelors of Economics started.This curricula is aimed to create business analytics.
In 1998 another International Expert Commission evaluated BIRL's Law and Economics curriculum and gave positive conclusion.
In 1999 Business Institute Rimpak Livonija lawyer's diploma became internationally recognized under regulation of 1997 Lisbon convention .
In 1999 Business Institute Rimpak Livonija key staff member joined Latvian Law Promotion Comittee.
In 1999 BIRL was oficially recognized and accredited by the state authorities as a higher education establishment.
In 2000 BIRL became an official representative of Oxford Language Centre in Latvia.
In 2001 another International Expert Commission evaluated BIRL as a Higher Education Establishment and gave a positive conclusion.
In 2002 official authorities of Republic of Latvia granted accreditation for Financial Management curriculum and prolonged BIRL's accreditation as a Higher Education Establishment.
