I just recieved this album and I can bear to take it out of my cd player. I love this album. It goes along with the feeling of the actual Humming album, which I also liked a lot. I really can't put how I feel about this album into words so stayed tuned. I will upload some samples from the album to my site!
The first time I saw this cd I was completely over joyed and yet at the same time I was afraid that Duncan would meet the fate of many other artists. I Love Duncan's first album, Duncan Sheik, so much I thought that nothing could compare to it, but boy was I wrong. Humming adds a little bit of edge to Duncan's songs. The songs keep you going and before you know it the cd is over. Not to say the cd is short but you have so much fun while listening time passes fast. This cd was excellent. I hope there are more to come.
I decided to turn the cd on while I wrote what I think
of it. When I first pooped it in my cd player, I remember
thinking "Is this really Duncan Sheik?" The way he has
remixed the song surprised me at first, it wasn't the usual
"Duncan." The remixes include: Johnny Vicious Mix, P.Q.M.'s
Bootleg Revisited Mix, La Leche Mix, Madamix, Vicious
Goove-A-Pella, and LP Mix. The first two tracks don't have
any lyrics they're just basically dance music.. Which is
great when you're in one of those "let's get out and party"
moods. The other four remixes all have lyrics, which are
also pretty fast songs. I still think the songs are great,
and I love Duncan's music. The lyrics are my favorite part.
You can understand what he's saying, and they really mean
something. I really like the echo effect in Madamix and
Vicious Groove-A-Pella. The last remix: LP Mix is very
similar to the version that appears on the album "Duncan
Sheik." One thing I know, is that you're going to have a
hard time siting in one place listening to this single!

This single has two tracks Wishful Thinking (Radio
Edit) and In Absence of the Sun (Album Version.) The song is
slower than the remixes of Reasons for Living. I also think
the new song is great, it really contains a lot of feeling
