19.99
I'm amazed by the unending line of pure crap that can be sold
on television so long as its sold for 19.99
Its a plan that obviously works with
many of you since its always on TV that way.
Dishes, cleaners,mirrors,dent removers,
soap, wrinkle cream, you name it and the price is, 19.99
Have you seen the
one for anti-wrinkle cream? Spread it on and lift (1,2) and the wrinkles are gone.
I think it sells for around 19.99 to lift those wrinkles with what is in essence,
GLUE.
For you wrinkly types out there you can get the same results with superglue
for about 5 bucks. Use the superglue and save the other 15 for all the medical problems
you'll have down the road for smearing glue all over your face every month.
Anyone
see the Elvis impersonator who sings the modern day hits? Elvis sings the newest
hits, cant wait to see Psuedo Elvis sing some Brittney Spears yeah that'll be good
stuff... all for 19.99 of course.... this pseudo Elvis is even fat and sweats like
a greased pig just like the real Elvis did, and all for 19.99. Cant go wrong there
eh?
I also get amusement by the "value added" part of the Tv commercials.
For
example,
Buy our noodle pan (for 19.99 of course) and we'll throw in a steak knife
set and a cooking spoon (( A 25 DOLLAR VALUE)) for free!!!!
Who determines
the "25 dollar value?" I saw one add where they give you a head towel for
free and claim its a 14.99 value, I can buy a towel at Kmart for 5 to 7 bucks? Who
determines a towel is worth 15 bucks??
Do you see the flaw in such sales analogy?
In monetary terms, anything that is free has no value, that which is in and of itself
free has no monetary worth on its own and thus is WORTHLESS
In a per-unit
evaluation you have 3 units which equates to roughly 6 dollars per unit.
I can
buy a stainless steel spoon at walmart for 3 bucks, a steak knife set for about the
same and a nice noodle pan for 6.
As a result, one would pay 20 dollars for 12
bucks of merchandise and another 15 bucks for shipping and handling when most people
are within a gallons worth of gas from walmart (1.75 a gallon for gas)
Seems
amazing such ridiculous ploys would work yet they must work on quite a few people
since these ads are on television non stop day and night.
I dont care much
how people waste their money I'm just real tired of having to sit through the ridiculous
advertising!
