Conspiracies, Realities and clarities
As
I continue to see verbage from the anti war movement, dissentors and protests its
abundantly clear to me that an entire generation of people have been deprived or
are inept of history and critical analysis.
Fortunately for some of you select
few, I am here to provide some clarity to the world you live in. Consider the following
if you will
.
(("george bush is starting this war
so he and his rich buddies can get their hands on all that all."))
That
is perhaps the most common yet mentally lazy statement I hear among dissenters.
For
you conspiracy fans is sounds neat but in fact is inept. Technically speaking the
US already gets Iraqi oil at a wholesale price via middleman from Iraq. If President
Bush really wanted to get his hands on oil he'd attack Kuwait and Venezuela rather
than Iraq.
Kuwait and Venezuela could be overrun within 48 hours each utilizing
10 percent of the forces being built up in Iraq right now and Venezuela in particular
produces more output of petroleum than Iraq and its closer not to mention more cost
effective. Thus if the President wants oil for himself as some of you say, why would
he go through all this hassle when there is a much easier and cost efficient way
to do so? Furthermore, if this oil-mongering Bush/Haliburton combo was trying to
get all the oil for themself, dont you think they'd get some pretty stiff resistance
from other big "oil mongers" such as Exon and Texaco? Imagine how many
US workers and other rich oil mongers would lose money if our seemingly oil evil
president were to control all that petroleum for himself?
Conspiracy theory is
mentally lazy, if you think it out carefully you'll increasingly find out how ridiculous
it really is.
((bush is out to rule the world, he should follow the
will of the united nations and let the inspectors do their job))
Considering
what a screwball world this is, I doubt President Bush or any other sane individual
would want the job of ruling it all however I do think the United States would like
to countermeasure areas in the world that threaten to export mass murder to our country.
Ironically, the United Nations was a term coined by Franklin Roosevelt and basically
created by the United States as an embodiment of nations wordwide to have a common
voice for peace and mutual good in the world it certainly was never created to allow
rouge thugs/dictators/murderers to exploit it as a screen to keep their power nor
was the UN ever created to allow pacifist nations to organize chaos and beauracracy
in the midst of crisis.
The final irony in that statement is that the United States
would not be in this position had it not been for the fact that the US abided by
the United Nations wishes after the Gulf War in 1991 and did not turn North toward
Baghdad. The US withdrew after forcing Iraq after Kuwait as called for by the UN
and the aftermath was the mass muder of the Norther Kurds by Saddam Hussein and the
continued problems today with Sadam Hussein.
((many innocent people
will die in Iraq if bush gets to have his war))
Fact of the matter
is that this is the worlds war whether it realizes it now or not.
I wonder how
many innocent people have already died in Iraq due to the apathetic nature of the
United Nations? How many innocent Kurds in the north died when the UN did nothing?
Do any of you remember Rowanda? How many innocent people have died there, and
the UN has done nothing?
How many innocent muslims died in Kosovo before the United
States intervened?
The UN didnt back that military option either, yet with this
undeniable facts so many of you would put your faith/security in the United Nations,
your trust in the word of a pathalogical liar like Sadaam Hussein and call President
Bush a oil greedy war monger?
((war in iraq will be another
vietnam, and the people of the middle east will hate the US even more))
Yet
another ill-fated statement dissentors make that clearly shows a lack of historical
knowledge and perspective.
One common link here is that to an extent you can track
Vietnam and anger against the United States back to the end of World WarII
The
culture of the middle east has traces dating back to post world war II when millions
of Jews fled Europe and anti US sentiment grew even more in the late 60's with the
Islamic fundamentalist movement. Interestingly enough in relevance to modern times
it was the FRENCH who first sent advisor/deployments into Vietnam as early as 1948
and in typical French fashion when things got heated the French dropped the ball
and got out of Vietnam a few years later leaving someone else to deal with the mess.
I
will write a historical perspective on Vietnam and Fundamentalism in the middle east
at a later date.

I understand many who disagree with military force, I have
reservations about it myself however I urge some of you to think out both sides of
the equation and reason out the facts from the fiction. Consipiratorial thinking
will make you lazy, its easy to buy into a line of garbage, its easy to be partison
and one dimensional but if you want to be taken seriously in your beliefs and concerns
its to your benefit to seek out a balanced and objective look at the world you live
in.
