"Reality TV"

I've become increasingly annoyed by the rush of so-called reality TV programs these days and I'm even more annoyed by the seeming willingness of the public to go along with it and support it so much.
I often wonder if not worry about some of you people out there and wonder what bubble utopia (or illegal narcotic) you live on.
There is no reality tv.. its television people.. its entertainment. You want to be entertained, thats great, I like television sometimes but dont insult my intelligence calling this trash reality.
Reality has risks, triumphs, tragedies and consequences.. its not staged.
Survivor is staged, nobody is going to starve, or die. These bachelor shows are staged, dont you realize these people are actors or actor wanna-be's?
Fear Factor is staged..the only reality here is that some of these people are real stupid... who the hell eats maggots on tv for money? What kind of idiot do you have to be to eat maggots for money... you call that reality? I call it ignorant.
The people who fall off the side of the building have pull chords tied to them, they wont get hurt and they wont die.
You want reality?
How about a few years ago when a faulty jet air hatch door came open in midflight and the force pulled a flight attendant out where she plummeted to her tragic death... no pull chords to help her.

Have you ever seen someone take their last breath? Have you ever seen someone you knew lay cold and dead on a floor?
I have, let me tell you thats reality...

You want reality? Talk to the men who landed on Iwogima in World WarII and watched theire friends die around them, thats reality.

Talk to the survivors of the Indianapolis.. destroyed battleship in the Pacific. Survivors afloat in the ocean for days waiting for rescue with some of their shipmates dying around them from hypothermia, some eaten by sharks... thats reality.

Talk to the parents of a 4 year old child with brain cancer at the childrens hospital... thats brutal reality.

Most of you people dont know crap from snot.. you wouldnt know reality if it bit you square in the ass.
Somebody eating maggots on television for money is not reality... its an idiot, a complete and total idiot, it has nothing to do with reality, it has to do with being a total idiot.

I dont mind what people watch on television, watch anything ya like, all the power to you but dont tell me about "reality tv" when in fact its nothing but staged entertainment like any other show on telelvision.
