...The Muzik Biz'....

Since I got out of high school, I loved Tejano music. I joined a D.J. group and eventually became a night club D.J. I moonlighted as a roadie for local bands and got to tour across Texas. One highlight was when the band I was working for had to share a dressing room in Victoria, Texas, with the Grammy-Award winning international supergroup, La Mafia!

They autographed this small poster for me! I think their music is great. The love songs especially, old and new.

Another wonderful thing about the music biz, was getting the chance to meet and know a great human being, Selena! I first met her while working as one of the D.J.'s playing her intermissions at a dance hall in Alvin, Texas, in September 1989. She had parked her red Mitsubishi Eclipse in our parking spot. I got angry and ordered security to get the car moved immediately! Needless to say, I had no idea that it belonged to Selena! I was so embarassed! She was very sweet and understanding. Here are a few pictures from that night. She was gracious enough to allow my friends and I to get real close.

The third picture is one of myself with Selena the night I first met her. I spoke to Selena from time to time at concerts or industry functions up until right after she got married. He was nice enough to give me a copy. I will truly miss her.

I want to thank you for visiting my site. I will be updating and changing things around from time to time, so stay tuned.
