He pulls himself up on the rungs of the stool, and once again falls flat on his face.

"Well, screw it", he thinks, and proceeds to crawl out the door of the bar to the curb, where he pulls himself up onto a bus bench.

A taxi comes by, and Luke flags him down, attempts to stand up, and falls flat on his face again. The taxi driver gets out of the cab, and helps Luke into the back seat. Luke directs the driver to his home, and falls asleep on the way.

When the driver gets to his home and wakes him up, Luke pays the man, and steps out of the taxi, only to fall down again!

The taxi driver helps Luke to his door, and leaves him leaning against the doorjamb. He unlocks the door, and falls into his living room.

Tired of the struggle to stay on his feet, Luke crawls to his bedroom and pulls himself into his bed.

Early the next morning, his wife is standing over the bed, yelling "You went out and got drunk again last night, didn't you?"

Thinking he had gotten away with it, Luke asks "How did you know that?"

"The bartender called this morning", she says. "You left your wheelchair at the bar again!!!"
