29th September 2004 - 4 countries since the last update Hi, yep yet again weīve been rubbish keeping this update updated. As you may have noticed from the title we have been in a few countries recently, hereīs a run down. Flew in to BA Argentina where we just chilled out, I have to say BA has got to be the best city in South America, everything about the place is good & to cap it all itīs sooooo cheap. We then caught a fight to Bolivia, where we spent 3 days at a Spanish only speaking dentist, didnīt get any work done on the painful tooth, but got tons of pain killers & Anti-inflammatories to see me though the trip (joy). We then took a 14 hour train journey to the Brazilian border to get on a Pantanal tour. Iīd wanted to go to the pantanal ever since my last visit to South America, we spent 3 days out there with Aligators, Monkeys, Capybara, tons of birds & various other animals, went horse riding (ouch) & piranha fishing (they ARE nasty bastards), but no Ant-eaters or big cats!!!!. After a good shower we headed for a small town in Brazil called Bonito, itīs a strange town based soley around Ego-tourism, it could well be the most expensive town in South America. I think we did the strangest activity ever, basically we donned wetsuit & snokel, then floated down a river with hundreds of fish for about 2 hours....wicked & very relaxing. We then headed for Paraguay, most books say very little about the country & although we spent only 1 day here you could tell that the people were among some of the friendliest in SA. 24 hours (by bus) after leaving Paraguay we finally arrived in Salta (Arg), which is where we are now. Weīve hired a car & have 5 days to explore some of the Northwest of the great country..........Canīt wait!!!!!!!!
