· Interface with design engineers to ensure that the correct components and supplier were chosen for Nortel’s best market leverage.

· To evaluate coding requests by Nortel designers for new components for conformance to company component technology and supplier preferences, and to capture the component technical parameters and supplier information in the component database.

· Provide Technical support for the Central Coding Group.

Canadian Blood Services

January 99 – October 99

Technical Support Analyst

· Supported and System Administrated for the PDP 11 blood test system across Canada, this included all hardware and Operating System problems or errors.

· Created a new Intranet server to run NT 4.0 server with front page on it.

· Backed up firewall and Unix for the SCO system provided System Administrator for their Alpha system running Compaq True 64 Unix.

Digital Equipment of Canada Ltd.

Quality Engineer

November 93 - December 98

· Provided Domain Administrator/Technical Support and Site and Qualifying of Factory Installed Software images before released to the production floor.

· Built, administered and maintained a Windows NT 3.51 Server, converted it to an NT 4.0 Domain with a primary domain controller and a backup domain controller.

· Qualified all Factory Installed Software images before released to the production floor, developed corrective action with the supply chain and root cause analyses with the Field Support Department.

· Created a domain outside of the firewall and installed and configured a fully functional Exchange server at an off site location.

· Assisted plant staff with hardware and OS problems that Site Services could not rectify, supported for MQA audit staff.
