Phat Phree! - Phat Phree! is dedicated to the idea of liberation of thought and deed for fat women, men, girls, and boys. Fat oppression can and must be ended and it must begin with each one of us. Remember one of the lessons of feminism: The personal is political. Every time a fat person puts themselves down, accepts fat-related cruelty as a matter of course, tries to hide their size, or compares his or her body to another fat person in the hopes of "not looking that bad" at oppression improves its already strongly established foothold by leaps and bounds. We, as fat people, must learn to accept ourselves and our fellows and begin to put our energies toward building a more fat-positive world. Change, like art, doesn't just appear. It must be worked for, struggled with, dreamed about, and loved into being. Phat Phree!
