10th National Clogging Convention
November
26-29, 2003
Caesar's Palace (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Before the convention festivities started, I participated in the CLOG Invitational Golf Tournament with Matt Pearson (left), Darl Moreland (right), and my dad (the photographer). Our team won second place!
This was my first visit to Las Vegas since turning 21, so I had to try my hand at some of the games. Later I did better at the roulette table, where the very first time I played, I won over $100!
Shane Gruber and I dancing the "Cotton Eye Joe" at an evening fun dance.
Me leading the Beginners from Scratch seminar on Friday.
Shane, me, Shannon, and Shane's mom Fay (at the very right) at one of the evening fun dances. Since we were at Caesar's Palace, there was a toga contest later in the evening, hence Shane's oufit. :)
Before the evening showcase, Darl Moreland presented me with a "Most Valuable Volunteer" award for my work with the CLOG Today newsletter.
Me teaching on Saturday.
Me with Charlie Burns (national instructor from Kentucky), who announced his retirement from the CLOG organization at the convention.
