Hello my name is Daria L. Bullock, as you can see from the background page. My good friend
Carol made this for me along with the button at the bottom of the page. As I have yet to really venture into the realm of stationary making, she will from time to time make some for me.[]Where do I begin?!?
I was born in Passaic, New Jersey and raised in Paterson, New Jersey a stone throw away. My mother, Arnita, is a wonderful mom and person. She raised my brother, who is now deceased, and myself and did a great job. As I grew older I came to appreciate her more and more. "One never realizes the gifts and rewards that have been bestowed on us until we no longer have them." My 38 (at the time I developed this page) years on this earth, not withstanding the rocky spots, have been wonderful. I could not have planned it better. [That was likely since God is the one in charge. And am I blessed that it IS the Lord in charge.]
By the grace of God I have participated in many things and been afforded many opportunities. I have traveled to places I saw only on television or heard others speak of while growing up. I vacationed in the
European countries of France, Switzerland, Amsterdam, and Spain. My travels in the United States have been many but Las Vegas was indeed adventurous. I work in an industry [Computers ] that has been my "playground". I received an education (Florida A&M University) for which many take for granted and participated in organizations like the "Marching 100" that was exclusively dominated by men. My tenure [1978-1982] in the "100" were the best years for that time. My instrument was the alto saxophone. [] Quite a learning experience and one that I base the beginning of what forged the foundation on which I stand today. It was here that I learned about leadership, understanding of ones peers, subordinates, and yes, even the adversaries. The best part thus far is my association with the greatest group of friends one is ever to have. They are diverse and non-all too consuming. They keep me sane, balanced, grounded and always laughing. Yes, I am a very fortunate individual and am thankful of having traveled down this path. I strongly believe in destiny and fate although at times I also have the "Why me syndrome?".I have never been an outward activist like most but I do have certain causes and passions and they are ever growing and my knowledge expands from them. Whole heatedly I believe when a person makes a mistake she/he should own up to it just as much as the person that purposely does wrong, should pay the consequences. That goes for any and everyone regardless of their position in life.
My indoctrination onto the *net* was better than I could have hoped. I met up with some really great people who have become very dear friends. Never did I think it was possible to meet people over the internet and actually start a friendship. Though I am eternally grateful for those that have graced my life over the past 20 years, the soapclub was a great group of diverse individuals and was always a pleasure to converse with them.
God has blessed me with a very special person who mirrors me but maintains individual uniqueness.
