Objective

[Biography]
An independent consultant, with 20+ years [14+ as a consultant] experience in both mainframe and client/server development. Currently, as in prior assignments, my role consists of R&D, leadership, mentoring client staff/consultants, design and analysis/re-design of front and back end, and providing project solutions.

Authored application-based PFC-based Window Management Service for PowerBuilder community. Service available for download on several sites.

My experience spans a wide variety of applications and industries as noted on my background page. A concentrated effort of recent years has been spent designing/developing information management systems using Powerbuilder to connect to multiple databases (DB2, DB2/2, Sybase ASE, ASA, ASIQ). This experience dates from version 3 and is current as of V6.5 with PFC using distributed methods.

Joined the Marching 100 Alumni Band Association, Inc as Corresponding Secretary and Communications Chair in 1999. This organization was borne of former band alumni who attended Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. In this position I developed a system written in Powerbuilder 6 to record and track Band Alumni. Development of this application allowed me to decimate information more readily to the members. Using state of the art functions and features in PB6 such as treeviews and better-enhanced datawindows, collection and maintenance of the data was streamlined.

My partnership with The Zenith Group allowed me to broaden the scope in which I work. Simultaneous focus given to the GUI front-end analysis/design and the database scheme, I maintained a clear perspective of the overall aspect of the system. The system covers a wide variety of methods; uploads, downloads, E-mail, data entry, reporting, maintaining users and groups, etc. It was developed for national facilities in an effort to automate several cross-user processes. Essentially my role in this partnership was R&D, database and GUI interface design.

Continuing in the development of IT systems in web and client server providing my technical skills and business knowledge to corporations wishing to remain in the forefront of this industry.
