Welcome to the BBQ event of the year !

Held at monana's home in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia on Saturday 17 October 1998, the BBQ had a new record turnout. Here are the attendees:

The charcoal was heated up at about 6.30 p.m. as the group trickled in. Celine came all the way from up north Penang. Tyreman and shy21 drove all the way from Melaka ..... a good 2 hours' drive.

We started gobbling food at about 7.30 p.m. and had lamb steaks, chicken wings, satay, sausages, mashed potatoes, garlic bread, sandwiches, coleslaw, fruit salad, fried noodles, fried rice, fresh fruits, carrot cake and some awesome vegetarian curries and vegetarian burgers. ( Luv 'em burgers, Sri !! )

Smallbean proved to be a skillful satayman ...... brains2 a skillful potato masher ...... and suplaplap a skillful eater.

After the food orgy, some jokers decided that Terranova needed a birthday cake and decided to custom-make one ..... out of odds and ends from the extra food.   A memorable cake indeed :o)

We left monana's home in total disarray at close to midnight and as usual, we IRCed from our respective homes within the next hour  :o)
