The Rudimobile and the Purple Menace

I bought my first Mini when the new Mini Coopers came out, in 1991. I'd never even test-driven a Mini before but I just had to have one. At that time I was even hoping it would become a collector's item because they were supposed to be a limited edition. It's called the Rudimobile (some people say that's short for rudimentary automobile), is british racing green with a white roof, features walnut interior, K&N air filter, an RC40, Recaro seats and recently a number of rust holes:-(. And - YES - my other car is also a Mini! The Purple Menace has arrived in March, 1998! It's amaranth, with a sunroof and black leather interior, but unmodified yet. It is currently hibernating until the Rudimobile will be in serious need of restauration.
