I don't really have any special preferences as to which type of music I like, as long as it's REAL music, that is played with real instruments and performed by real people. This means I currently hardly like anything that's in the charts. I listen to more 70's and 80's music than any of the new stuff, with a few exceptions. Amongst these are the Guano Apes. I saw them at an indie festival in 98 and they were fantastic. Another favourite is Rammstein. When I saw them live, they got really upset when their flamethrowers gave up. Another long-time favourite is Metallica , although I prefer their older stuff. A band I've rediscovered for myself are The Cure. I love Robert Smith. There you have it. Just like heaven...
For the first time in years, in 1999, I went to Rock am Ring (possibly the most famous German open air festival), mainly to watch Metallica. Gee what a mess. I've never seen so many drunk people in my life. Or had so much noise.. not so much on the festival grounds, it was worse on the camping site!I guess I'm finally getting too old for some things. :-)
