If you've made it this far, it's obvious you'd like to know a little more about me. As I said, I grew up in suburban NY, doing the "normal" kid type things. Through High School I was involved with sports, as well as music. I've played the trumpet since 4th grade, and still try to play occasionally. I'm also trying to teach myself guitar, but it's going a bit slowly!
I went to college in upstate New York at SUNY Oneonta. Yeah, it had kind of a wild reputation, but also provided an EXCELLENT education. I graduated with a dual major, Political Science and Secondary Education. I went on to teach in a local high school for a few years, until my position was cut by the budget. That tossed me into the computer field, where I've been ever since. As I said elsewhere in my site, I'm now onto another career change. I should finish schooling for Massage Therapy in April 2002, and later that summer will have the New York State boards to pass, and complete my licensure!
I was also in the Army Reserve, serving in a Civil Affairs Company. I did my BASIC at Fort Campbell, KY. I had the dubious honor of going through Operation Onaway Eagle, where our training was conducted solely by reservists. It really wasn't bad, except that we were housed in WWII era barracks - most basic trainees these days stay in new 4-person rooms, not 50 people in 2 large open bays! If anyone also went through Onaway Eagle, especially anyone from C-1-4 2nd Platoon, please send a note, It'd be great to hear from you!
More to come, when I get a chance to update!
I'm slowly trying to update these pictures, so bear with me! ;-)
