Mari

Now here is an interesting girl. I don't know her all that well yet, and by talking about it I am probably running the risk of jinxing things so I won't have too much to say as of yet. But none the less, she is a real find. I happened across her one day while I was doing laundry in my apartment building. Her mother was in there as well, well, first I should say. She and I had exchanged a few pleasent words to break the uncomfortable silence. Then Mari walks in. This is going to sound really wierd, but the whole atmosphere of the room changed when she entered... it almost seemed brighter. I'm not really sure what it was. She was extremely friendly and outgoing... wonderful personality. And very, very pretty to boot. Smart girl too. Her mother was just as friendly as she was. Mari walked in and had a short conversation with her mother, and then came and sat next to me and stuck a convo up! I was almost so shocked I wasn't really sure what to say. I am not the greatest looking guy in the world. More often than not due to my size and appearance people tend be intimidated by me (though they have no reason to be... I'm as harmless as they come). Have you ever seen the movie Fools Rush In? In that movie the leading female states that there are signs everywhere, telling you what to do in your life. I have always had a little belief in that and now I'm really starting to wonder. Here's why: the same day that she and I met, I had received a letter from G.L. in Mexico. It was of course in Spanish (which I currently speak very little of). It turns out that Mari is majoring in Spanish in college, and was even willing to translate the letter for me. I'm not exactly sure what God is trying to tell me with this, but be assured that I'm going to keep my ears, mind, and heart open.
