A Few Of My Favorite Things
"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mitten, brown paper packages tied up with string..."

Some of my most favorite things are: children, cooking, watching sports (football, hockey, baseball are my favorite sports but recently I have been developing a great liking for NASCAR racing...must be my need for speed), reading, listening to music, watching movies, the mountains, sunsets, the beach and margaritas.

Children and Cooking
These two things are related to my love of family, which is very important to me. I absolutely adore children and while I don't have any of my own, yet, I do know that nothing would make me happier to become a mom. Kids are the most innocent and precious creatures on the face of this earth. So, to all out there reading this...if you have children, give them a hug, a kiss and tell them that you love them.

Now for cooking...although I can say that I am not a gourmet of any sort, I love to cook...and I am the sort of cook that just experiments by throwing things together. You know it is said that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, so I think I'll be okay!

Deb's Take On Sports
I must admit when it comes to sports I am a homer. I have followed these teams since I have lived here and I can honestly say that I am not a fairweather fan. I have supported them through all the bad times and enjoyed the good times. I wish all my teams good luck!

With that said, my favorite football team is, of course, the

5 Time World Champion Dallas Cowboys

When it comes to baseball, who else can I like but the

Texas Rangers

I am a new fan to the sport of hockey, Texas isn't exactly a mecca for cold weather sports but we have developed a loyal follwing for the

Dallas Stars
Psst...ladies hockey is great, I'll tell you why in two words..."Mike Modano"

Because of someone very special to me, I am beginning to follow the

Carolina Panthers
Now don't get me wrong, the Cowboys will always have a place in my sports heart, but I can like more than one team even though the Panthers somehow managed to beat my Boys in the playoffs last year. LUCK, it was pure luck

My second favorite baseball team is the

Atlanta Braves
Seeing that the Braves are in the National League, there is no conflict of interest for me. Since I don't think my poor Rangers will ever make it to a World Series (I keep hoping), I can root for both teams.

Ahhh, the need for speed ~ the sheer adrenaline rush of racing a car. There is something, a feeling I can't describe, about driving a car fast and I don't mean 80,90,100 mph...I mean 150, 160, 170 mph...the control, the nerves it must take to have to do that. I have always been interested in racing, although it has been predominantly Indy car racing. I have recently been turned on to

NASCAR racing is very new to this area and we are fortunate to have had a track built in Fort Worth
The Texas Motor Speedway
