Back in Fresno

Relatively slow day today, which is a nice change after the past hectic couple of days. I sleep in until about 7:30... wake up and take a couple Advil with water, fall back asleep, wake up an hour later and actually attempt to get up and become mobile.

Wander out to the rest of the house and find Sandy doing her usual morning rituals... some cleaning and getting ready for work stuff. We talk for a bit as she does her things and she takes off for work.

I get online and dig through my email. Have gotten a few messages from some friends that require attention. (Hi everybody! I WILL write you soon, I promise).

I got in touch with Chris and chatted with him for about an hour. Turns out he lives like 10 minutes away from Sandy and Ed's place. I would've gone over for a visit but it sounds like Chris's girlfriend is feeling rather under the weather. We makes plans to go out to dinner tommorrow night and do some catching up. We're getting sushi, it sounds like... something else I've never tried. I'm game. :)

Went outside and swam a while... the water was nice in the heat.

Found a reasonably priced hotel right by LAX with a complimentary 24 hour shuttle to the airport.

Took a nap and woke up to coverage of Timothy McVeigh's execution. Watched for a bit then changed the channel to something happier.

Ed gets home and we chit chat a bit about different things. He does some cleaning up outside by their pool while I tinker with a few things online.

Sandy comes home and has picked up Gen on the way. I figure out a way to get my iBook to send its picture out to the big screen television through their VCR. I can also send audio through as well. I crank up some nice symphonic mp3s and let them play during dinner, then show everyone the pictures I've taken afterwards.

So here I am now, sitting in my bedroom on the other side of the house, windows open, listening to the occasional car go by, the breeze and the windchimes outside.

Might be going white water rafting in the next couple of days... that should be fun. Going to a baseball game here on Thursday... Friday will be driving down to LA to get Alie.

With everything going on I still feel strangely at peace. It's a rather nice feeling. I'm hoping I can take part of that with me when I go back to work and school...

For now though, it's time to sleep...

Checking out hotel rooms with the trusty iBook.

LAX and the surrounding area. The numbered spots are hotels in proximity.

Gen and Sandy looking through some pictures from this past April...

Ed kicks back and enjoys a before dinner appetizer.
