I have taken the following chronology from The Dune Encyclopedia, pages vii-ix. The only things that I have done to change it are to add our own real world chronological terms so the reader can have an idea which periods in relation to us are being noted and also I have stopped at the year AG 10,193, where the story of the first book ends, so those who have not read the books following Dune will not have the story spoiled for them. I may add them at a later date.
* 19000-16500 [2830-330 BCE] Early civilizations on Terra.
* 16500 [330 BCE] Aleksandr creates FIRST EMPIRE.
* 16400-16000 [230 BCE-170 CE] ROMAN EMPIRE arises and conquers the known world, except for China, which resists until 14400 BG [1770 CE].
* 15800 [370 CE] Imperial Seat moved to Byzantium in retreat before provincial rebellions and minor jihads.
* 14700-14608 [1470-1562 CE] THE GREAT STRUGGLE: The Century Without an Emperor.
* 14608 [1562 CE] Discoveries in America allow Madrid to attain the status of the Imperial Seat.
* 14512 [1658 CE] BATTLE OF ENGLICHANNEL. Seat of Empire moved from Madrid to London.
