Kevin walked into the lighthouse, he turned on the lights on and suddenly strands of colored lights lit up on a small Christmas tree that was covered with clear glass balls and silver tinsel garlands.
Kevin: Victor? VICTOR?!
Kevin began to run up the spiral staircase when he suddenly heard quacking coming from the bedroom.
Kevin: Sigmund?!
Kevin slowly made his way to the bedroom and slowly opened the door. There sitting on the bed was Lucy, wearing a air of jeans and a red turtleneck. Next to her was Sigmund, quacking because he was home.
Kevin: Lucy?
Lucy: (looking up) Um…hi, I just thought that you might like to have Sigmund with you
for Christmas.
Kevin: Doesn't explain the tree.
Lucy: It's Christmas Eve, and I was just going to drop Siggy off and then I saw that you
didn't have a tree and well I just couldn't let that be.
Kevin: (trying to hide a smile) Lucy! If I wanted a Christmas tree I would have gotten
one!
Lucy: Doc, I know I had no right to but I just couldn't help it. It's just a small tree,
the man at the lot called it a Charlie Brown tree.
Kevin: I just would have liked to have been asked first. (pausing) It's lovely, you out
did yourself, I'm sure.
Lucy: If you had been home, I would have asked.
Kevin: I'm sure you would have. I better not keep you from Scott and Serena.
Lucy: They're at the GH Christmas party the off to Church services.
Kevin: (puzzled) Your not with them?
Lucy: (stuttering) I….I…just…well…I…wanted to make
sure…that…um…Siggy..uh..um…got settled.
Kevin: (visibly smiling) Oh is that so?
Lucy: Yes.
Kevin: (sitting on the bed) Why are you really here?
Lucy: I told you Doc.
Kevin: (leaning closer) I got a fabricated story Luc, I want the truth.
Lucy: Doc, I told you the truth.
Kevin: Lucy…
Kevin pushes some stray strands of hair behind her ear. As he pulls his hand away he stops at her cheek. She covers his hand with hers and looks into his eyes.
Lucy: Doc….
Kevin: Lucy….
Lucy: I never meant to hurt you. You know that don't you?
Kevin: Yeah I do.
Kevin brings her face closer to his and his lips gently touch hers. The kiss deepened and then when Lucy pulled away she was out as breath as was Kevin.
Lucy: Um…..wow.
Kevin: I've wanted to do that for so long.
Lucy: Me to. I still love you Doc, I never stopped.
Kevin: I never stopped loving you Lucy.
Lucy: (taking his hand in hers) Doc, I can't live with out you. I've tried, but I'm just
so miserable with out you.
Kevin: (chuckles) I've been in HELL since July.
Lucy: Really?
Kevin: Yes.
Lucy: maybe I should get myself in over my head so Norma could rescue me.
Kevin: Oh no, I'm not shaving my legs again.
Lucy: (batting my eyelashes) Not even for me?
Kevin: I've done that for you TWICE!
Lucy: Just show's you love me.
Kevin: Yeah, I do love you.
Kevin stands up and goes to the dresser. He opens the top drawer and takes out a black velvet box. He walks back over to the bed and gets down on one knee. He takes her hand and looks up at her and smiles.
Kevin: Lucy Coe, I love you. I love you more then anything in this
whole entire world. Will you Marry me?
Lucy: (tears falling from her eyes) Yes. I Love you Kevin Collins.
Kevin stood up and held Lucy's hand tight in his own.
Kevin: Let's go get your stuff from the fire house. Though I may be
ready to put a fight up, I remember Luke told me Scott started a fist fight with him at
his and Laura's wedding.
Lucy: Well, Scott can't have me. I'm all yours.
Kevin: Good.
Kevin pulls her close to him and wraps his arms around her waist and kisses her on the lips.
Kevin: Merry Christmas Lucy.
Lucy: Merry Christmas Doc.
