Pinball Stuff
The Williams 50th Aniversary Logo
Check out the Williams Manufacturing Company's site. Makers of the best
pins on Earth! Sadly Williams quit making pinball machines in 2000 as
fewer and fewer people play them. However, the Stern company is determined to make a go
of it. They aren't Williams but I really hope they survive.
I really enjoy pinball. I suppose I'm a bit of a pinball junkie :) I play
on occasion at Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museaum on Orchard Lake north of
I-696. There was a fantastic place to play called Silverball on Opdyke just south of the Silverdome but it closed down in 2000 as well. It was a sad day.
I can, on the rare occasion, be found at the New Place Lounge on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn. They usually have a few decent pins there.
My top five pins are
- 1) Twilight Zone (Pat Lawlor design)
- 2) StarTrek: Next Generation (Steve Ritchie design)
- 3) World Cup Soccer (John Papadiuk design)
- 4) Adams Family (Lawlor)
- 5) Tales of the Arabian Nights (Papadiuk)
Honorable Mention
- 1) Demolition Man
- 2) T2 (Ritchie)
- 3) Corvette (George Gomez design)
