This is my page dedicated to all my wonderful friends. Of course, I never seem to hear from any of them anymore *hint* *hint* ... but I guess they are all just too busy to get in touch with li'l ole me ;) hehehe ... Seriously, I love all my friends to death and I always look forward to being able to go visit them, infrequent as it is!
This is a list (a small one) of my closest friends. There are in no particular order, so don't get all mad if you're not first, guys! You know I love all of you! And if by mistake, I've left someone out, PLEASE let me know. Sign my guestbook or email me, ok?
High School and before!
Cheryl
She's been my best friend since we were 10! I can *still* remember the first time we met... I wanted to borrow her markers and she gave me a really weird look and then said yes. The rest, as they say, is history.
Lucky for me, Cheryl and her mom are picture fanatics! So, a lot of important events in my life (such as coming out of the shower!!!! Or taking my bra off in the bathroom!!!) are all recorded for posterity, whereas if it hadn't been for Cheryl's mom, I wouldn't have this wonderful momentos! ;)
Cheryl and I have been through a lot together -- even boyfriend stealing -- but somehow we've always managed to put our friendship first and we've never let anything come between that (especially boyfriends!). I feel lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful, lifelong friend by my side :)
Erika
Erika and I have been best friends since we were NINE! I can't remember exactly how we met... but I remember lots of other things in between then and now ;)
She got married a couple years ago and now lives in Missouri with her husband, Scott, and their son, Jackson
Erika and I have had a more *settled* friendship then Cheryl and I... mostly because Erika and I don't have the same taste in men ;)
Erika, Cheryl, and I were like the three musketeers in High School ... but sadly, we all went our separate ways afterward. Erika stayed home, got married and then moved to Missouri, of all places! Cheryl went to Frostburg State University in Maryland, where she's *thriving*. I went off to Salisbury State University in Maryland, dropped out two years later, and got married.
(Here is a song from our graduation party that we all dedicated to each other.)
Danette
We've been good friends since High School. We met through Cheryl and Erika.... then I ended up picking her up everyday in High School so she wouldn't be forced to do her makeup on the bus ;)
Danette has always been there for me ... even when I got weird, which happened often, I'm sure. ;)
I haven't talked to Danette in a few months ... we both keep moving around so much... but I miss her and can't wait to see her again (Danette, CALL ME, ya goober!)
Tim
We met during my junior year in high school, when Tim was just a little freshman ;) Despite my extreme rudeness, we became friends anyway!
I could swear Tim is like a saint (will probably become one after he's dead, I'm sure) He's always there to listen to me babble on about whatever it is I'm upset about. Not to mention, he gives awesome hugs, which help a lot when I'm down and/or freaked about something.
He saved my sanity after I graduated High School and my then-boyfriend moved away. Tim forced me out of the house and into doing things (like taking him to the mall...) I owe him more then I could ever repay for that and a million other times he's been there for me.
Angela and I met halfway through our freshman year in college.... due to some unfortunately stupid actions on my part, it took us a little while to actually become friends... but now we're *very* close.
She's the only person that actually calls/writes me on a regular basis. Thank goodness for that!!!! It's nice to get *real* mail in the mailbox, not just bills all the time!
Angela and I have been through some pretty crappy stuff together... but managed to become friends in spite of it... maybe even because of it. I even let Angela learn to drive stick on my car (scary driver, she is!!)
Alonzo
I met him during my freshman year in college through a mutual friend. I pretty much figured he was a big player, so I didn't take him too seriously at first. After about a year, I realized what a genuinely sweet guy he is, and we became real close friends.
Alonzo's funny and quirky... He owns more clothes then any FAMILY I've ever seen. I always tease him about that, and rest assured, he always teases me back. :)
"Zo", as he likes to be called, is a really sweet, SINGLE guy... a great catch for any lady *hint* *hint* (Sorry, Alonzo... couldn't help myself!)
