WHAT'S UP
Well here it is, my very first attempt at editing my own page. My editor has gone on strike, he say's it is for my own good. I think he means his own, it has been a challenge for him to help me and to keep his own page up and running. He says mom; I won't be around all the time so you have to learn to stand on your own two feet. Where have we heard that one before?
I had all the say about what went into my page, it was just I didn't know how to get it all there. It has been a lot of fun and now that I don't have to call him up that much anymore it is even better. Not that I mind talking to him, I just wanted to be able to do it myself.
When an Idea hits me I can now put it on the page and upload it myself.
No more waiting for the editor to email me with the way I am supposed to do it. Plus he did say that if I didn't get the hang of it soon he was going to install a song that I can't stand on the ABOUT ME page. I am not sure but that sounded like a threat to me. I must admit he is a great kid. I think both my kids are great. I have truly been blessed.
I realized that in my ABOUT ME page there was a few details left out, so I am going to try and fix that. Plus I am going to keep people informed on what is happening in the nut house and in Laughlin. My favorite place in the whole world. I've probably mentioned that once or twice, but just in case I didn't I wanted to make sure you knew.
Let me start by saying I was not born in California nor was my husband. I am originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Dave is from Waterloo, Iowa. My kids were both born in Northridge, California. So, now that you know where we are from I can tell you that we all now live here in beautiful Simi Valley, California. I think that about covers all the stats as far as where we are from and where we are now. Oh one more thing, my nephew Rocco, who is still here, was also born in Northridge.
I think it is in case of another earthquake, he won't have so far to go to check up on us. That's ok he is beginning to grow on me.
Dave has family in San Fernando Valley, California and some more in Palmdale, California. He has three brothers, Mike, Lee, Leon (Leon is the baby of the family). I only say that because he is the youngest and acts like a kid most of the time, but he is definitely all grown up and taken over the family business. I think he is a pretty great guy. Dave also has two sisters Penny and Bobbie. When it comes right down to it they are all great, Dave is very lucky to have such a big family. All of Dave's brothers and sisters are married except Leon, If he ever settles down I'm sure California will have another big EARTHQUAKE. His Mom lives in the San Fernando Valley, California area also. She keeps everyone in line and keeps herself busy with all of her grandkids and great grandkids. I am sure if I tried to remember them all I would end up forgetting someone. So I will just say that she has enough kids to keep her busy and enjoy. Dave's mom loves to go to Arizona, where her houseboat is on the Mojave River. She spends a lot of time there, I can't blame her it is so beautiful there. It is only about 15 minutes away from my favorite place in the whole world Laughlin NV. I am pretty sure that is how I got hooked on Laughlin NV. in the first place. I am ok with that, I am very glad that I found out about that place.
Dave also has a lot of relatives in Iowa and, some in Nevada. You might say he has a good size family, and they are all great.
Well I guess that takes care of the family business for this minute.
I will be doing a lot of adding as time goes on, now that I have been forced to be my own editor, due to the unforeseen strike of my editor. So please have patients, and lets see what kind of mess I can make of this.
On my playground page you will find the places were I have the most fun. I am going to continue to search the world over, or maybe just the web, to find and put on my page the most interesting places to have fun and waste all of your time. Just keep coming back and I will do my best to keep you busy. So with no further ado let's get on with the good stuff.
October 31,1997 Rocco and Crystal moved out into their own house.
Boy is it going to be quite around here. I am really gonna miss those two around here. But I must admit I will not miss the grease on the carpet the walls the doors etc. you get the idea. *SMILE* Now Rocco's little brother Tony says to me Pal (that's what both my nephews call me, don't know who it started but they have always called me that.) now you have enough room for me to move in. I THINK NOT!!. Tony is 12 years old and I am just not up to the task. *G*
January 1, 1998 Their Back, Rocco and Crystal have moved back in with us. Not by Their choice, the house that they were renting was sold so here we go again. They say it is only for a short time, well that's ok i don't mind. MUCH *hehehe*
March 1998 Well I have another house guest, my son and his wife have moved in with us. Just until he is finished with his computer courses at school, I hope! I love them all dearly but it is getting a little crowed here. *G* But I guess that's what mom's are for, to help when ever they can.
May 9, 1998 Well now this is news I can handle. My daughter and her boyfriend took me out to dinner and Karaoke for Mothers Day and right after my daughter finished her song her boyfriend went up on the stage and got down on one knee and ask her to marry him, right in front of every one in the resturant. *SMILE* She was so shocked and happy, OH by the way,she said YES. They set the date for September 12, 1999 that will be 3 years from their first date. I hope they don't move the date up, I need time to plan. They want the traditional type wedding, you know the kind that you need to sell your house to be able to pull off, hehehe Just kidding. The only strange thing is Vanessa wants to be married in a RED wedding dress? Well if you knew her you would understand, she is not your typical girl. She was married once before in a white dress, and she said that didn't work and I want this one to last a life time, so she is going to do it all different. That's my girl.*SMILE*
