"I know.. the repair person is scheduled to be here about anytime in the
next hour" replied Tina the salons owner.

"I should have brought a pony tail holder with me, it is 85 degrees in here"
replied Carrie.

"you shouldn't have to put up with this heat much longer" Replied Tina.

"I was close to getting a haircut yesterday but changed my mind plus I like
my hair at the length it is" Replied Carrie.

"I don't blame you..I like my long hair" Tina Replied.

"it was a good thing, we both wore cooler clothes to wear" Carrie replied.
"Tell me about it, I'm glad i did not wear pantyhose today" Tina Replied.

"I'm glad i wore a tank top and shorts" Carrie replied.
"I'm just glad to be wearing a T-shirt and Jean Shorts" Tina Replied.

Tina looks outside from her chair and sees a van parked in front of the
shop, while Carrie is looking at the appointment book.

"I think the repair guy is here" Tina Replies.
"good" replied Carrie.

a guy walks in the front door and approaches the desk.
"Hi, sure is warm in here" replied the man.
"we're glad to see you" replied Tina sitting at her chair.

"I bet you are" replied the guy.
"I'm Tina Carter,the shop owner"
"Very nice to meet you Tina, I'm Ken Hartman of Hartman Heating and Cooling"

"Nice to meet you too,I was hoping you'd make it today" Tina Replied.

"I have about 5 guys working today in this heat, we had 5 calls including
you today" Ken Replied.

"We haven't been without air conditioning very long" Tina Replied.

"that's good, good thing you have some fan's going" Ken replied.
"if we didn't have those going, we be warmer" replied Tina
"definitely...Let me get my ladder and go up on the roof and see what's
causing your problem" Ken replied.

"Ok" Tina Replied.

"I hope we don't have a big problem with our air conditioning unit" Carrie
say's.

"me neither,don't need a big repair bill" "Tina Replied with a laugh.

Ken walks through the door 5 minutes later. and Tina is at the desk.

"what did you find out?" Tina Asked Ken.

"it's nothing big, it just needs serviced and a little bit of freeon." Ken
replied.

"ok, Great" Tina Replied.

"I'll grab some tools and go up and service it, you'll have your air
conditioning back in just a little bit" Ken replied.

"Ok" Tina replied.

Ken enters the building and goes to the desk and Carrie is there. "you're
all set, I had to do a few more things but you should be getting air
conditioning in just a few minutes" Ken said.

"ok, Thanks for your help" Carrie say's.

"you're welcome, here's the bill" Ken say's.

"ok, don't burn up out there" Carrie replied.
"I'll try not to roast" Ken replied with a laugh.

Ken went out the door and got in his Van.

Tina returns to the desk from the bathroom.

"here's the bill" Carrie say's

Tina looks at the bill and smiles. "at least he only charged us $50" Tina
Replied.

"yeah, no big bill" Carrie says.

5 minutes later.

3 girls walk through the door as it's starting to get cool in the salon.

the first girl goes to the desk while the other girls are looking at the
racks on the shelf that have shampoo's sitting on them.

"Hi Can I help you" Carrie asks.
"Yeah, I need a Trim in the back" the girl replied.
:"ok, would you have a seat over at that station and I'll be with you in a
minute" Carrie replied.

the girl goes to the station and sits in the chair. the other 2 girls buy
$20 worth of shampoo and leave the salon.

Carrie walks over to her station and places a cape on the girl.  "don't cut
off more than 1 inch in the back, I was at another salon 3 months ago and
they cut more than i wanted" the girl say's.

"you got it" Carrie replied.  Carrie spent about 5 minutes trimming the
girls back and cutting her bangs.

Carrie finished. "Does this look ok to you?" Carrie asks.
the girl examines herself and has a smile on her face.

"it's perfect" the girl replied.

Carrie take the cape off and the girl steps out and follows Carrie to the
reception desk.

"How much i owe you,Ma'am?"

"just $5.00" Carrie say's.

the girl paid and left.

10 minutes later 5 women walked through the door and Tina went to the
reception desk.

"Can i help you ladies?" Tina asked.

a girl who looked to be about in her early 20's went to the reception desk
and said "I need a very short haircut" replied the girl.  the girl has mid
back length hair.
"ok, have a seat in one of the stations" Tina replied pointing to the
station.

the other girl with a bag approached the desk and another girl "we would
like just a trim"

"ok, take a seat somewhere in the back"Tina Replied.

the other 2 girls approached and one of them said, "my friend and I need a
haircut"

"Take a seat and I'll get to you in a little bit" Tina Replied.

Tina went to the back and got carrie who was drinking some water. "we have a
few haircuts to do" Tina said.

Tina and Carrie return from the back. The girl over there would like a very
short haircut. "ok" Carrie replied.

Tina goes over to one of the stations and capes one of the customers. Carrie
goes and asks the customer the type of haircut she is wanting. "I just want
a couple of inches taken off, I was going to go shorter but did not think i
would like it" the girl replies.  "ok, we can do that" Carrie replies.

Carrie washes the girls hair and rinses it out and then grabs the scissors
and makes some snips and take 2 inches off the back. Carrie dries the hair
and gives her the mirror to inspect the work.  "Great Job, I would like to
give you a Tip" the girl say's. "I like tips" Carrie say's.  "close your
eye's" the girl say's.

Carrie closes her eye's.

SPLATT... the girl plants a pie right in Carries Face.  Tina looks over
across the salon and sees the pie in Carries Face and starts laughing her
head off and so are the waiting customers.

Carrie opens her eye's and takes her fingers and takes a lick  "oh yummy, my
favorite...Thanks for the tip" Carrie breaks out laughing.

"you're welcome" the girl replies.

"that is the nicest thing I have gotten from a customer "a pie in the puss"
I wasn't expecting that" Carrie replied still cleaning her face with her
fingers. the girl gets up from the chair and starts to help Carrie clean her
face.
"how did you know it was my favorite Pie?" Carrie asked.
"i work with one of your friends Laura told me" the girl replied.

The girl takes one look at Carrie and starts laughing and so does Carrie.

Carrie cleans her face of the pie and is still giggling while taking the
cape off the girl and follows her to the desk.

"How much i owe you" the girl asked.

"$5.00 is ok" Carrie replied.

the girl paid and left.

Tina had just cut a customers hair and was still slightly giggling.

Tina took one look at Carrie and said "I bet you won't forget that tip"

"I won't" Carrie replied.

Tina had 2 other customers to do and told Carrie to do the other waiting
customers.

in 1 hour tina had done 1 head shave to a girl in her early 20's and then
gave a girl a chin length bob.

one of the customers was so delighted with their cut that they gave Tina a
$20 tip and a surprise pie in the puss.

Carrie and Tina Both left the salon in the evening laughing their heads off.
