5 minutes passed:

andrea hears a little whisper "andrea?" she turns her head it's kelly.
"what?"
"i broke the lead in my pencil,do you got an extra" replied kelly.
"no, I don't but here's a sharpener,sharpen it quick before Mr. Burke
catches us whispering" replied andrea.
about 30 seconds later andrea hears another whisper "andrea" andrea turns
her head. "here's your sharpener" replied kelly.

a few minutes later kelly hears a little squeak of wheels,andrea is getting
out of her desk and takes her exam up to Mr. Burke's Desk and returns to her
seat.

andrea hears a little squeak and turn her head around,kelly is getting out
of her seat and see's a few other students who have finished their exams
take their exam papers to Mr. Burke's desk,then they return to their seats.
andrea see's the remainder of the class get up and turn in their exams and
return to their seats.

she then see's Mr. Burke,stand up and go to the center of the chalkboard
with some papers and face the class.

he starts to speak..  "I have some certificates here for those who have not
been late to class,these must be used in the next month. when your name is
called come and get your certificate"

"Carl,Andrea,Kelly,Susan,Keith,Tim.

andrea with a suprised look on her face steps up and goes to Mr. Burke and
he hand her the paper. "Thanks" replied andrea. "you're welcome,good Job
this year"

Andrea returns to her seat and opens the envelope to find she has a free
pizza. "wow" thought andrea.
kelly passes her and sits behind her and quietly says "you got a free pizza
too?" "you bet" replied andrea.

kelly and andrea hear a tone from the speaker in the ceiling "boy i hate
that tone that Mr. Tanner uses for the intercom system,it is so loud"
replied kelly.

Mr. Tanner's voice comes over the speaker "I would like to wish everyone a
safe and happy summer,we'll see you in august" Mr. Tanner turns off the PA
Address.

"class,for the remainder of the period you are free to chat but keep your
voices to just a low tone" replied Mr. Burke.

andrea hears kelly call her name and turns around "how do you think you done
on the exam?" asks kelly.
"i don't know but i think i got most of the questions right" replied andrea.
"there were some tuffy questions" replied kelly. "i know" replied andrea.

andrea and others see Mr. Burke stand up from his desk and go stand in front
of them, "class, I think the bells have been delayed, go ahead and go to
your lockers,Have a good summer vacation."

"lets get out of here andrea" replied kelly.
"I'm right behind you" andrea replied"
andrea and kelly went to their lockers and cleaned them out and headed for
the bus. "are you doing anything tonight" kelly asked. "I'm going shopping
with Mom tonight" replied andrea. "you are?" replied kelly.
"yep,Mom wants to find me a few outfits for summer"replied andrea.
"I won't be doing a whole lot,I have the house to myself this
evening"replied kelly. "you lucky dog"replied andrea.
"I'll call you in a couple of days there's my bus" replied kelly.  "ok"
andrea replied.

on the way home andrea got hot and thought she'd place her hair in a clip
and then removed it when she got close to her house.
the bus stopped and andrea got off and walked to her front door and opened
it and entered the living room.
"Mom" andrea called. "I'm in here" replied andrea's mom
Cheryl. andrea walked in to the kitchen to find her mom still in her work
clothes. "How was school?" her mom asked.  "went fine" replied andrea.
"good,glad to hear it" replied her mom.
"you know it sure is warm out there" andrea told her mom.
"it sure is, got a question for you" her mom said.
"what's that?" asked andrea.  "how would you feel about getting your hair
thinned out for the summer?"her mom asked.  "i do not want it cut short"
andrea replied.
"ok, i just thought about having your hair buzzed on top and take the bulk
out of the back but leave it long" replied her mom.
"ok, i think that would be ok" andrea replied.
"we'll have sandy do it for you at the mall" replied her mom.
"how soon did you want to go?" ANDREA Asked her mom.
"in just a few minutes,got to go change clothes" replied her mom.
andrea thought she'd get out of her skirt and change in to shorts and put
some tennis shoes on.
andrea got back out to the living room to find her mom in shorts and a
T-shirt and sneakers. "ready?" her mom asked. "ready" replied andrea.

andrea and her mom cheryl headed for the mall and parked the car and walked
upto the mall entrance and opened the door and walked down to the salon.

andrea and her mom walked in to the salon to find sandy sitting in one of
the stations. sandy greeted them "hi guys"
"Hi,sandy" cheryl replied. "what can i do for you" sandy asked. "andrea
would like the bulk taken out of the back but not the length and buzzed a
little on top for the summer" cheryl replied. "would you like anything
done,to you?"  "just cut the splits off and make it even but do not cut it
no more than 1 inch" cheryl replied.
"you got it" replied sandy.  andrea and cheryl were caped up and got their
hair washed and sandy took the bulk out of andrea's hair with some clippers
and then buzzed some hair off the top and then started with cheryls hair and
cut about half an inch. when sandy was done with cheryl and andrea she
removed the capes and gave them some samples of shampoo and andrea and her
mom followed sandy to the cash register and cheryl asked for the total and
sandy said $16 and cheryl gave her $20 and said that it would cover the tip.

andrea and her mom walked out of the salon and walked to the car and headed
for home and they pulled in to the driveway and got out of the car and in to
the house and they sat and relaxed for awhile and ken andrea's dad got home
and suprised andrea and her mom with a shaved head. "what made you shave
your head?" andrea's mom asked him.  "I decided to shave it for the summer
months" ken replied.
"you look so handsome" replied andrea's Mom.
"thanks,you have the job of shaving it once per week" replied ken.
"oh,goodie,I'm going to like that" replied andrea's mom.
