*Swee'pea's Playground
I remember those Saturdays when I was younger,
sitting in front of the TV watching cartoons,
school days watching Sesame Street and the like.
Well, here are some links for those of you like me
who will never forget what it's like to be a kid.
Enjoy!
For me, Sesame Street was the first big stepping
stone in my educational career. I'll never forget
the characters we met, the songs we sang, and the
places in our imagination they took us to. Join me
and re-live those wonderful times in our lives!
And, of course, the next stepping stone would be to
Yes, that wonderful Mr. Fred Rogers...if you saw his
acceptance of an award on the Daytime Emmy Awards show,
you have to admit to me that you cried. I cried!
He's a wonderful man that brought us peace and calm
in our lives. So let's take a walk through his neighborhood!
HEYYY YOUUU GUYYYYYYYYYYS!!
Remember that line? I *loved* it, because it always told me that
was on!! This is an unofficial page, but I'm sure you'll love it nonetheless.
Don't ask me why I have this on my page, but I guess
my older brother had more of an influence on me than
I thought! I had no choice but to watch this cartoon on Saturdays,
and I hated it, but I remember the show and I guess
it wasn't really that bad. (smile) Thanks, Tony!
Who could ever forget that "chubby little cubby all
stuffed with fluff"? Not me...so let's hit Hundred Acre Woods
and see if we can find that little cubby, shall we?
Saturdays not only meant cartoons, like Bugs Bunny and
the Road Runner, but at 11:55, I would always wait to see
which one of my favorite songs they would play on
I don't know about you, but I learned more about
conjunctions and the Revolution than I EVER did in school!
This is an awesome site that has every song that was
ever done. When you choose the song you want to download,
it will bring you to a page devoted entirely to that
particular song that includes the lyrics, who sang it,
who wrote and produced the song, etc. It also comes with
some still photos straight from the cartoon.
BE WARNED! These take a while to download, but to me,
they're worth it!
Remember all those live action puppet shows that Sid and Marty Krofft
used to have during the '70s? Well, now you can take
a trip back to that time with
You'll find pages for all your favorite Krofft shows: H.R. Pufnstuff, Bugaloos, Lidsville, Sigmund & The Sea Monsters, Land of the Lost, Lost Saucer, Far Out Space Nuts, and the Krofft Supershow. On these pages you will find descriptions of the shows, the cast, theme song lyrics, episode guides, and a toy collector's shopping list. So have fun!!
For those of you who have know any kids, check out this site.
They have Precious Moments personalized keepsakes and
holiday gifts you can order, or you can have your child
