Hi I am Samy

I have been living with my "Mom" for nearly 5 years now. She found me on a lonely Thanksgiving at her girlfriends house while I was strolling from door to door looking for food! ..She was not sure if I belonged to someone, so she came back for me in the evening because she could not bear seeing me mishandled by some people who had a large dog, and gave me huge dog crackers to eat. I could not even get them in my mouth. No water, no mommy.... so she picked me up and took me to her house. Whowww what a nice house it was with plenty of room to play, and stairs, many stairs. And even a nice patio with flowers where I could hide and play. During the day she left me outside in the patio so I was not bored, but I was still very little and missing my real cat mommy, so I was crying all day. The neighbors were nice people too, they had kids. One day they came and looked for me and took me into their house. And from that day on a beautiful friendship started. I played and stayed with them every day when my "Mom" was at work. Oh what fun I had, what a great time! The kids were awsome, we played all day long, hide and seek and running through the neighbors house from front to back and back to front. Whuiiiiii I liked that!

When the neighbor was cooking (and he did every day) he always gave me great meals. Fresh seafood, steak, pork chop, man I had the life. I'm not kiddin' ya. My "Mom" never had anything like that for me, she never cooked much. But she tried, she would buy me Tuna or Ham or roasted Turkey, yummm. But I was rather with the neighbors they were more fun. I hope my mom was not mad?? I don't think so, she was happy I had a good time. :)

Well, and there was the ditch, and the palmtrees, and the meadow and playground with all the neighbor kids where I would play with them in the afternoon when school was out, klimbing the play house and running and playing. Hey that is a whole 'nother "bag of kitty litter" if you pardon my french! I had a good time there, hiding out under the bushes, so mommy could not see me?! Especially at night when she tried to make me come inside, heee. She would run around looking for me for hours, when I was right there under her nose! hiiiii great stuff! Well for me that is, for her, hmmm I guess people are lacking a bit of kitty humor off and on.... need I say more? Needless to say I got whacked a few times scaring her out of her mind *gigle* hiii. Oh well, gosh I was right there... but that one time about a year after she found me or so, I really disappeared! Boy I was so scared, I did not know what was up.

I had played my usual trick on her hiding out and she stopped looking, yelling something about me being sorry staying outside all night. I thought "are you kidding?" me, sorry? No way! Well that night it was different, we had a new cat fellow in the neighborhood, and he followed me everywhere. Somehow we must have gotten started on strolling (my memory is almost whiped out because of post traumatic stress syndrome) I guess that is how I got away from home. It was terrible we were strolling along all night and day, and all of a sudden that fellow was gone, and I found myself in a strange neighborhood alone and hungry. I lost all my weight, skin and bones. I was very sad and afraid! That is when I wished I was home with mommy and the neighbors. I almost forgot about them with all that stress and no food. I was not able to do anyting but keep on begging at strange houses for food. I must have done too much playing and not paying attention to know where I was. Actually I was only 2 miles from my home, but I did not know that! So one night, weeks after my "excursion" started I begged at this ladies house, and she called her neighbor and they started talking about where I belonged... so they checked my colar, uhu and that is good, because my mommy always made sure I had my tag! So they called on the phone, and put me in a house with one of the ladies. That house was not nice, it smelled really bad, and she had a mean dog and other cats. I was scared! But late after dark i heard a car and the dog barking, and when the door opened it was my mom! She came for me, oh... how did she find me? I barely knew her, my memory had already started fading. I really did not know what was going on. She took me in the car and we went home. But of course I did not remember my home much either. Somehow I recognized it, but not really. I was sad, but i felt as if it was ok. The neighbors came over and a lot of talking and loud noise was going on, sounded like happy noises. The kids stayed with me and mommy to look after me. They petted me and fed me and then I went to sleep. I was tired.

My mommy must have been really scared, she kept me locked up in the house for weeks. Off and on she would let me out on the leash, but I did not get to play outside by myself for almost a month. I guess I deserved it. But I was scared too and needed that "vacation" of nurturing and feeding and sleeping. I was still tired and slept a lot. She fed me back to my old health. The neighbors came over during the day and played with me and visited and brought me food! It was so nice to be home. I never saw that cat fellow again, suppose he took a hike. Good for him, 'cause I would have made him miserable if I had gotten my claws on him.

Well, more to be told another time......
