Welcome to the Pink Pages. I'm glad you've chosen to stop by. Before you begin reading, however, there are a few things you should be made aware of. First off is standard use of terminology. At times there are terms, words, and phrases I will use that various people have various opinions for. When I use them here, I have a certain definition in mind. Please use MY definitions when you read things on this page so that we are communicating properly. If you respond to me, I will assume you use my teminology unless you say otherwise. This is not done because I think I'm better than anyone but so we have a basis to communicate on. If I'm writing it, I have to make some distinctions somewhere.
Bisexual - Someone who is attracted to either sex. Note that this is reguardless of sexual activity. A man is bisexual if he likes men and women, whether he has sex or not with either.
Heterosexual - Someone who is attracted to his or her opposite sex. Note that this is reguardless of sexual activity. A man is heterosexual if he likes women, whether he has sex or not.
Straight - Someone who identifies as heterosexual (note that for the most part the two terms are interchangable).
Homosexual - Someone who is attracted to his or her own sex. Note that this is reguardless of sexual activity. A man is homosexual if he likes other men, whether he has sex or not.
Gay - Someone who identifies as being homosexual. In many cases this will not be the case, though often society uses these terms interchangably (as will I in some of my writings, especially my earlier ones when I didn't know the difference).
Sexual Orientation - Whether someone is Heterosexual, Homosexual, or Bisexual. Please do not use Sexual Preference, as this is a misnomer.
Sexuality - One's overall sexual makeup. This includes sex and sexual orientation
This is really an oversimplification, but for now it will do to keep us all working on the same wavelength.
