Against my better judgement, and all common sense, the McKennas of Illinois drove 500 miles to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with the McKennas of Nebraska. Upon reaching the first fuel stop, in western Illinois, I find the right front tire's steel belts are sticking through the tread. I limited myself to 65 from there on. To make a long story short, we made it, only a half hour or so past my projected arrival time.
