SISTERS SISTERS

Gallery of Sister Photographs

Our first shot is of the Keefe sisters, taken in Farley, Iowa. The sister in the middle is my Great-Grandmother Norton. They always tended to turn their heads in these portraits, to show their "best profile", although according to all who knew them well, they looked as well from either side.

This shot is of the Miller sisters (make that the totally babe-u-lar Miller sisters). It was inspired by the Keefe sister's portraits, and I try to take a new one at every opportunity. This one was taken at Christmas, 1996, in Naperville, Illinois. Left to right: Christina, Laura, and Louanne. I've been married to the former Laura Miller since 1982.

This picture is of my daughter, Chey, and her 2 foster sisters at the time (May, 1992). The one on the right is now our daughter Elizabeth. The one on the left, Jasmine, was placed in another home, due to the state of Illinois's stupid policy (then) of discouraging white couples from adopting their black foster children.

This should be in a seperate "Sisters & Cousins" gallery. From left to right: Chey (daughter), Lizzie (daughter), Isabelle (neice), & Desiree (daughter).

This can't be complete with out a dedication to my own sister, Nan. No "sisters" shots for her, since she was an only girl, but here's one that she would be proud to display, anwhere:

NEW! Here's a picture of the previously unseen Miller sister, the total "Betty" of the bunch, the youngest, Jennifer. Taken in Jan '98...from left to right, it's Jen, my 4 daughters (Chey, Megan, Elizabeth, Desiree) and Jennie's daughter, Amelia.
