Let's begin our trip down memory lane.

July 18, 1999
My ex-boyfriend and I were attending the Hootie & the Blowfish concert at the amphitheater. All weekend long there were constant updates on the search for the plane. When I returned home that night, it was concluded that John F. Kennedy Jr, his wife Carolyn, and her sister Lauren, were dead. I still can't understand how you can grieve for someone you've never really know.

June 17, 1994
It was my high school graduation night and all of us had gathered at one my friends' house to celebrate. The guys were down in the basement watching the NBA Finals.

June 12, 1994
This is the day that Nicole Brown Simpson & Ron Goldman were murdered. I didn't know who they were exactly, but as the "OJ Saga" progressed I found out more than I ever imagined.

1991 (unsure of date)
I was laying on the couch in front of the television. It was almost 9pm so I flipped the channel to find "Night Court." They did the intro and then played the theme music and went to commercial break. Five minutes into the show, there was "late breaking news." An anchorman came on and announced that Allied Troops were bombing Irag, The Persian Gulf War had begun. I was 15 and taking a Geograhy Class. My teacher was very anti-war. He tracked the "progress" of the war and posted updates on major events that happened, number of lives that were lost, the effect on the enviroment, etc. outside his classroom along the wall until the war was over.

1986 (unsure of date)
Mrs. Johnson had just turned on the television. We all moved our desk around to get a closer view of the screen. It seemed to take forever. The news anchor kept talking about how this was such a "historical moment." The first civilian, a teacher, was going up in the space shuttle. The time finally came and the shuttle took off. A few seconds later, Challenger blew up. I couldn't believe what I just saw. Mrs. Johnson turned the television off and we all just sat in silence for awhile. As the months went by, investigators studied the explosion and tried to figure out what went wrong. Following the incident, a lot of jokes started coming out. The most famous being: What does NASA stand for? Need Another Seven Astronauts.
