It was a cold and stormy night
I was running down the street
The rain soaked me from head to toe
The wind swirled against my cold wet feet

Me an' my parents had a fight
They always bossed me 'round
I didn't think it was really fair
That they treated me like a hound

I'd have my revenge
I'd say what they deserve
I'd make them grovel at my feet
And I really have the nerve

As I ran down the muddy road
With these visions in my mind
The thunder storm grew worse and worse
A place to hide, I had to find

I ran down the downtown streets
I spotted a lonely girl
She didn't have a place to stay
Huddled close as the wind swirled

A light dawned into my mind
How foolish I had been
I had a family, food, a place to stay
Lucky was me, know what I mean?

I noticed my mistake
As the clouds cleared away
I quickly ran home to my family
I knew what I was gonna say

I walked through the front door
I said sorry like I should
I cried and ran into their arms
And hugged them as hard as I could.
