i burned my pink tongue
with the hot mocha chocolate i drank
i shoot caffeine into my veins
whenever i feel bored
like now
my mouth is on fire
so i sing to smother it
it's not working though

so my tongue still hurts
and singing does no help

but i still love the burning taste
of that steamy hot mocha against my tongue
a sweet chocolate taste at first
then after the swallow
a bitter coffee bean lingers in my mouth
the sweet sensation of divine addiction
pulls me slowly into the tide
