* Little Prince no more - The Globe and Mail, June 17, 2000. On June 21, 1999 - only 2 days after the wedding of Prince Edward to Sophie Rhys-Jones - Prince William turned 17 years old. As a result of so much media attention already surrounding the royal wedding, William's birthday was much more low key than his sweet sixteenth.
