Use the ownership of the world's natural resources carry responsibilities as well as privileges. Conserving protected wildlife is part of that reponsibility. As part of environmental indicators, the loss of these creatures can harm our own life in ways that may be hard to determine. Accelerating extinction rates are a powerful message that ecosystems surrounding us are being severely damaged. Many commercial and recreational activities contribute to the stress on our protected wildlife. Therefore, many populations of wildlife are depleted or declining due to human activity.

Every animal big or small has a part to play in our lives as we also depend on animals. The conservation of the rich Malaysian ecosystem especially maintaing a healthy population of the protected species is therefore vital for Malaysia as it has one of the world's richest natural treasures. To protect wildlife in danger of extinction is to understand and appreciate the needs of the other creatures that inhabit our planet with us.
