My Teen Years In Woodstock NY
I spent the majority of my teen years (13-18 years old) in the Kingston/Woodstock area in the Catskill mountains
in upper state New York. Most people equate New York with the city, but I actually did not spend much time in New
York city when I was young. The area of New York where I grew up was predominated by farms, woods and mountains.
Growing up around Woodstock in the 1970s, everybody pretty much looked like me; long hair and laid back. Little
did I realize life as I knew it was about to come to an end.
Here I am outside a farm house in New Paltz around 1975.
In the woods, how is a mountain boy supposed to care for his hair ?
I had a foal (baby horse) for about 2 years before I had to sell her.
This is the house I lived in. It is in Hurley NY, across from the horse pasture.
This is the owner of the house, Mr. Klem. I used to date his daughter. Mr. Klem was a great man and I miss him. God Bless you Gerhard !
I just painted this house for about $200, took me 5 days.
