I left Raleigh in 1978. I found my dad in Ives Estates North Miami and lived with him for about 2 months. I eventually ended up moving in with my friend John Luke and his wife April. They were good folks from Valdosta Georgia and we had a good time for about a year (we owned dirt bikes, a boat, drag cars which we raced at hollywood speedway, they were good times) before I eventually established residency, had some kids, and went back to school.

Right before we left for Florida in the summer of 1978, the boys had to fix the car.
Of course my nemesis Chino had to show up too (shown here with Richie). Eventually him and Richie spent 5 years in prison for robbing a hotel in Kingston NY. I ended up taking care of his family, shown below ...
My friend in Florida was John Luke. We (me Richie, Brian, John, April) lived down in Hollywood Florida off 441 by Pierce Street. It was a slum.
This is Richie right after we arrived in South Florida. I eventually married his sister (my boys mother).
Brian and Richie loved South Forida when we first got there. They both eventually went back home to New York.
I ended up staying and working as a car mechanic and playing a lot of guitar. My first guitar (shown here) was a Crestline. I now own a Kasuga. I never paid more than $100 for a guitar.
