Cahaba.  July 1st 1867

Mr. Meredith

I write to you as Pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at
Pleasant Hill, to request my letter of membership from the Church.  When I
became a member of that church, it was before my marriage, and my name was
Martha F. Vasser.  I am so situated that I cannot attend that church, and
as I wish to connect myself with a church more convenient, I shall be very
glad to receive my letter and enjoy the priveleges of membership here.  Mr.
Hunter and myself will be very glad to see you at our house, should you at
any time visit Cahaba.

                                With Sincere respect
                                I am Yours truly

                                Martha F. Hunter
