On Thursday, March 27, at approximately 6:00 PM CST, we recieved hundreds of phone calls and E-Mails. Apparently, every radio station on earth broadcasting at the frequency 93.6 FM suddenly went off the air. In place of these stations were two musical notes (approximately a middle C and the E above it). We quickly scanned for the broadcaster of these notes, but none was found. Upon further investigation, we found that the notes were very slowly moving closer to each other and that they will meet (at a D) June 10, 1997. At the beginning of June, the SRIUIRS research center will begin full-scale study of this signal.
Before then, we need some support to ensure that the project is completed successfully. Most importantly, we need a better place to put the home page, so that the public can stay informed of this venture. Mr. Elliot Harmon has so graciously given us space on his Geocities account, but this may not be enough. If you wish to show your support on your home page, please add the following line of html code to it:
<h1 align=center><a href="http://geocities.datacellar.net/SouthBeach/Marina/2634/sriuirs.htm"><font size=7>S</font><font size=6>R</font><font size=5>I</font><font size=4>U</font><font size=5>I</font><font size=6>R</font><font size=7>S</font></a></h1>
Right now, we are not speculating about the source of this signal and assume that it is something explainable, yet not explained.
