The Catsmack Legacy
A long time ago, John E. "Smack Daddy" Bryant
had a vision. He decided to create a computer program in which people could
outwardly express their anger toward cats without actually getting in any
trouble with animal rights activists.
Little did Mr. Bryant know that what started as a simple computer program
would become such a cult icon. Yes, some see Catsmack as a game, but I
see it as so much more. Catsmack is a legacy.
Thank you, John E. Bryant!
So, everyone else, download this prodigious game of strategy and skill.
And download it with pride!
This ZIP file includes two files: catsmack.exe (the game) and bwcc.dll
(necessary to run the game).
Right when we thought we had the story behind John E. Bryant figured
out, something like this
had to turn up.

from Catsmack.
Note: Recently, many people have tried
to discredit John E. Bryant by creating cheap imitations of the game to
end all games. Please be careful to avoid these and others:
In order to fully express my deep and sincere feelings about Catsmack,
I decided to write a haiku:
I have smacked the cat.
The cat I have smacked is smacked.
It is a smacked cat.
If you have experienced Catsmack and feel the way I do about it, you may
wish to demonstrate these feelings on your own homepage using this neat-o
banner:
To date,
cats have been smacked.
Catsmack, Catsmacker, and anything else referring to the program they are
referring to are the rights of John. E Bryant. He in no way endorses the
Digital Steakhouse or anything included therein. The downloadable file
is the shareware version of the program. All who download it are strongly
encouraged to purchase the full version directly from John E. Bryant, as
all other places to buy it are quite likely not licensed. In fact, I plan
to buy it as soon as I can raise five dollars. The American Society for
the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in no way helped with the creation
of this Web site, but they're a bunch of neat people.
