Existence Validator 1.0

Among the most nerdy of web authors, there is a press to make sure that every page on the Internet can be viewed seamlessly by all web browsers. (Yes, there are more options than Microsoft and Netscape, believe it or not.)

This campaign has given way to the HTML validators. As much as we all would like to go along with the crowd and validate our pages, it can be very difficult, especially for those of us who use the "overpowering corporation who tries to control the Internet"-style web authoring tools, rather than the old way. (Anyone who actually cared enough to check out my source code knows that I am in that category, though not proud of it.)

Here is the solution!

Welcome to Existence Validator 1.0. Any web page will pass the Existence Validator 1.0, so long as it fits the following criterion:

• It exists.

If you would like to see if your homepage passes the test of Existene Validator 1.0, just follow these instructions:

1. Type the URL of your homepage into the "URL" or "Location" bar on your web browser.
2. If your homepage loads successfully, congratulations! It exists!

3. Add this GIF to your homepage:

4. Send me your URL.
