Ode to the Horizontal Line
Yes, it's the horizontal Line. One of the very few things that has suffered no change in this
ever-evolving Internet.
This unusually simple thing has the ability to divide documents! When documents are
unrelated enough to need to seperate them but too similar to create two seperate html
documents, you need a horizontal line!
Even the html coding for the horizontal line is incredibly simple. A less than symbol. An h.
An r. And a more than symbol. And you've got yourself a horizontal line!!!
Now, some people try to complexify the powerful horizontal line, by making it into some
type of graphic (e.g.: a fuse on a bomb, etc.) These are kind of entertaining, but the
question is, is that right?
And I don't think it is.
All hail the horizontal line!
(and my apologies to those of you with web browsers that can't see horizontal lines.)
lives have been turned around by the powerful horizontal line.
