Softbreeze Christmas Goodies
Welcome to my Christmas Goodies page. I love to cook but I really look forward to making all my families favorites at the holidays. Many years it was tough to find all the ingredients but that just made them taste better I think. We lived in Okinawa, Japan for six Christmas seasons. Some years I couldn't find raw peanuts so I had to use salted roasted peanuts. Or I couldn't make my families Suet Pudding because I couldn't get citron. But there was always plenty I managed to make. Some of my recipes come from my Mom, one that I don't even remember her ever making. *L* Others have been found on the back of a jar or in a magazine or cookbook. Wherever it came from it has become a regular in our family. One year I even taught a Japanese friend in Hawaii how to make most of our favorites. That was a lot of fun for us both. I'll always remember what fun we had.
The kitchen really is the heart of my home. I hope you will make yourself comfortable and you enjoy your visit.
