I'll just give a rough storyline here, due to my poor memory *L* okay...*deep breath* here I go......
Aug / Sept: For those of ya who didn't know, my first page was in Heartland (Ranch). well, it started out with a black background, cyan text...and lame content, was mostly about me, me, me cos' I didn't know what else to write *L* The then South Pole was made just with the Basic HTML Editor... was still struggling with the HTML bit :) all I could do was link stuff up...no graphics, no nothing except text...bad huh? *L* luckily, some really great CLs from Heartland got me moving a little, so there was this improvement.
Oct / Nov: think I moved to SouthBeach during this point in time, and have stayed here since *G* got some suggestions from friends & some ideas from other pages, gradually started a bit on my interests like dogs & penguins. like many newbies, I went like crazy to join all the rings I could lay my hands on..ha! found a couple of animated gifs, got amused...stuffed a few here. also started experimenting around with the Advanced Editor...but things never looked the way it meant to be, doesn't that sound familiar? heehee..
Dec / Jan: Did a little reading up, realized animated gifs were annoying, got rid of them. maybe it's this phase I went through where everything was interesting. *LOL* anyway, I came up with a Web Tricks page when I was a little more well-versed with HTML and some design tips. And guess what? I also got some of my first awards then...kewl huh? If I'm not wrong, I started creating some simple looking graphics of my own with Paint Shop Pro.
Feb / Mar: the launch of my Figure Skating Web page & Michelle Kwan Fan Page. Ever since those pages got up & running, they got hits faster than North Pole had before *L* also created a FREE Greeting Card making site, called it Cool Cards & made a logo. My animals page which I re-organized got it's first award during this period. ermm...don't think anything else happened here cos' I was busy with CL Training :)
Apr / May: ahh...how can I forget? *G* North Pole got featured on 30 May 1998, was hysterical when I got it...*L* nah...I exaggerated a little ;) okay...a lot...but I was and in fact now I'm still happy about it, cos' as you know the Featured Page program has already come to an end. started on a Web Page Help section after I became a CL. didn't actually do much here...was enjoying myself :) went for a vacation...came back...got lazy...ya know *G*
Jun / Jul: would ya believe it? I went on another vacation :) I was enjoying my 6 mth holiday after graduating from high school see *S* green with envy yet? *LMAO* just kidding :) played around more with graphics, so got a little more familiar with PSP now.
well, one thing remained the same though...almost all my visitors have the same suggestion: they want my photo up here. But there's this tiny winy little problem I have...no scanner!! *L*
